7 YEARS OF PRIDE WITH YOU.

Join us June 12 -13, 2026, to celebrate our collective resilience.

SOFLX Pride’s 7th Annual Pride Festival Weekend: We Bloomed Anyway is June 12 - 13, 2026!
Join us as we celebrate our community. This year’s theme, We Bloomed Anyway, honors every queer and trans person who has grown, thrived, and found joy despite the horrors of 2025.

Enjoy a weekend filled with vibrant performances, local artists, community vendors, food, music, dancing, and the unmistakable magic of SOFLX Pride. Come celebrate how far we’ve come and all the ways we continue to bloom, together.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.

Maddy Walsh & The Blind Spots

"Maddy Walsh & The Blind Spots, a tenured, original, five-piece moxy rock band steered by magnetic songstress and force of nature Maddy Walsh, celebrated its fifteen-year "bandiversary" with a sizzling east coast tour. Their recently released fourth studio album, Talk, showcases a matured grasp of songwriting, paired, as always, with the band's signature electrifying, high-energy performances characterized by soaring, powerhouse female vocals, luscious four-part harmonies, a library of modern and vintage key sounds, bold and inventive electric guitar stylings, and an incomparably tight rhythm section. Walsh has since released two solo albums, pandemic-era The Tunnel Sessions (2020), and Humanmade Thing (2021), the latter being released with a sold-out show at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. A new record is on the horizon to be released in 2026”

WE WANT YOU TO PERFORM AT PRIDE!

YES! YOU! Show us your magnificent talents on the Centerway Square Stage!

Our 7th Annual SoFLX Pride Festival is for and about YOU! Happening Saturday, June 13th we invite all to participate in our open mic variety hour on the festival mainstage in Centerway Square!

Participation Details:

  • The Centerway Square stage is fully accessible by a ramp in the back of the stage where all participants will enter and exit.

  • Share your talents and speak your mind through: poetry, song, storytelling, acoustic music, dance, magic, Drag, skits, traditional arts, circus arts or performance art. (no general speeches or campaigning - this is an arts and culture variety hour at a youth and family focused Pride celebration)

  • Keep your performance to 5 minutes or less. Please understand we want to accommodate as many folks as possible.

  • Tech Support: SoFLX Pride will provide a mic, chairs, sound and a DJ to play your backup track, if needed. We will not have amps or a professional sound tech - we suggest acoustic instruments or backup tracks for all music artists.

  • Questions? Please email Meghan events@soflxpride.org

KEEPING TO THE ROOTS OF PRIDE!

In 1969 the Stonewall riots happened because LGBTQ+ folks, particularly transgender women of color, fought against hate and police brutality that pervades multiple systems and policies in our communities. Pride honors the queer people who paved the way for us to celebrate.

Southern Finger Lakes Pride Festival is many things. It is a celebration of all identities. Of all genders. Of all sexualities. Of rights for all. It is a time to learn. It is a time to educate ourselves on those who stood before us. Those who had their lives taken. It is for those who continue to fear for their lives. Fear for their safety and have lost loved ones.

Southern Finger Lakes Pride is dedicated to supporting the well-being of our Southern Finger Lakes LGBTQ+ youth and their loved ones by connecting them with affirming resources, advancing community acceptance through education, and providing opportunities for inclusive celebration.

Beginning in 2019 as a grassroots effort, Southern Finger Lakes Pride has impacted the community of the Southern Finger Lakes through:

• Starting youth programming throughout Schuyler, Chemung, and Steuben Counties with our young adult Bloom group and with a second pride group partnering with SUNY Corning Community College.

• Business partnerships throughout all the Southern Finger Lakes, holding events and collaborating with wineries and breweries on Seneca Lake, businesses on Market Street, Community Partners in Elmira and Watkins Glen, and more.

• Large festival celebrations in support of the LGBTQ+ community and their families. The overwhelming success of our annual events have reached more than 56,000 people virtually and 3,500 in-person, a number we hope to grow as we look for greater support from the business and non-profit community.

The success and sustainability of Southern Finger Lakes Pride Festival is dependent on the overwhelming community support from organizations and individuals like you! As Southern Finger Lakes Pride continues to evolve, we are seeking sponsorship to support our growth. Our work will enhance regional quality-of-life efforts and help to make our community more diverse and equitable. In turn, this makes our region a more welcoming place to live, work, and play. Your support will help make our efforts throughout the year a success and we hope you will celebrate with us at our signature event!

KEEPING TO THE ROOTS OF PRIDE!

Pride has always been rooted in community — in showing up for one another, celebrating self-expression, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported. This year, we’re excited to bring that spirit to the festival with a community clothing swap! Stop by to trade pieces you love, discover something new, and celebrate sustainability, creativity, and connection together.
