GROUNDED IN OUR MISSION & VISION:

To empower and support members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community while advocating for equity in our region.

Southern Finger Lakes Pride supports the well-being of our Southern Finger Lakes 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their loved ones by connecting them with affirming resources, advancing community acceptance through education, and providing opportunities for inclusive celebration.

WE STAND FOR EQUITY & JUSTICE

Southern Finger Lakes Pride stands with others for equity and justice and in denouncing racism, intolerance, and exclusion. We believe that taking this stand is not enough. We, alongside our diverse community, have been on a path to identify how to build the core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion into our nonprofit’s operations as we advance our mission.

We believe that embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion as organizational values is a way to intentionally make space for positive outcomes to flourish for our 2SLGBTQIA+ community and the community as a whole.

WE BLOOMED ANYWAY.

This year, we entered a rebirth, a year of returning to our roots, deepening our connections, and remembering that community is not something we just find, it’s something we make together.

At CAMP FRUIT FLY, GATLAS, QUEER AND TRANS SUPPORT GROUPS, QUEER CLUB, FESTIVAL, AND LOCAL COLLABS, we created transformative spaces where LGBTQIA+ youth and adults could play, rest, explore their identities, and build chosen families. With every creek walk, queer elders campfire, shared meals, and nights out, we were reminded how much we need each other.

These spaces are made possible through collaboration with local artists, educators, volunteers, healers, and organizations.

And in the words of our Mother Miss Major:
“We’re still f@k!ng here.”*

Still building. Still joyful. Still growing.

Over 8K

community members attended our events.

Triple Impact

Monthly

18+ support group meetings were held for LGBTQIA+ adults for the  3rd year in a row!

100%

IMPACT ON A NATIONAL SCALE

HRC Foundation has just released a new report—One Year In—which includes findings from the Annual LGBTQ+ Community Survey. The report highlights key trends related to LGBTQ+ visibility, financial stability, access to health care (including HIV care), workplace experiences, and discrimination over the past year.

Together, these findings paint a clear and concerning picture: many LGBTQ+ people are experiencing increased financial strain, reduced visibility and openness, and growing barriers to affirming health care and supportive workplace environments. By documenting these experiences, the survey helps ensure that LGBTQ+ communities remain visible in data and that policymakers, advocates, and the public have credible evidence to inform education, advocacy, and action.
